Descente, a Japanese label, has unveiled its flagship Mizusawa Down Fall/Winter 2026 outerwear collection. The range is built at the brand's newly rebuilt Mizusawa factory and updates classic models with modernized shell fabrics, reworked functional details, and enhanced practical utility designed to withstand harsh winter conditions. ## Classic Models with a Modern Twist The FW26 range retains the signature non-quilted thermal bonding and seam-taped waterproofing that made the series famous. It merges minimalist urban style with extreme weather performance. The lineup is led by Descente's timeless core models alongside seasonal additions. Key styles include the flagship "MOUNTAINEER" and its relaxed "Oversized MOUNTAINEER" variant, featuring the proprietary Parahood system and dual-zip ventilation. The versatile "ANCHOR" down jacket, "ANCHOR-HC" coat, and "SHUTTLE-L" also return with updated materializations and streamlined fits. ## Limited "EXPEDITION" Model A notable highlight for the FW26 season is the debut of the limited "EXPEDITION" model, offering elevated cold-weather protection designed exclusively for this release. The "EXPEDITION" model is a notable addition to the collection, providing enhanced protection for extreme winter conditions. ## Rollout and Availability Rollout for the "Mizusawa Down" FW26 collection begins with an initial drop and advance pre-order phase starting August 21, 2026, via Descente's official webstore and select flagship outposts. Subsequent rollouts are scheduled to follow on September 18 and October 23, 2026, bringing the full men's and women's technical down range to global stockists for the winter season.
