NikeSKIMS opened its first physical destination in China at Shanghai’s HKRI Taikoo Hui on September 29, 2026. The pop-up provides digital access to the complete NikeSKIMS Fall Edit 01 collection through the Nike App.

Experience and Offerings

The immersive space features localized services like tailoring for select products. It will host community activations and product experiences. The Fall Edit 01 collection spans apparel, footwear, and accessories. Key pieces use a new Performance Cotton Blend with Nike's Dri-Fit technology. The lineup also introduces the NikeSKIMS Rift Satin split-toe sneakerina in new earth-toned brown hues.

Celebrity and Cultural Engagement

The opening drew a high-profile crowd. Global celebrities Kris Jenner and Khloé Kardashian attended. Kim Kardashian, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer of SKIMS, hosted an exclusive preview on September 28. She made an intimate appearance at the adjacent Upper House, even signing a fan's rare Birkin bag. Local Chinese stars were also present, including swimmer Stephanie Au, basketball player Li Meng, track athlete Liu Yinglan, actresses Zhuang Dafei and Vanda Li, singers Jike Junyi and Lexie Liu, and supermodel Zhao Jiali. In an exclusive conversation at the pop-up, Kardashian discussed the strategic importance of the Chinese market. She stated that designing a sneaker was essential when partnering with Nike. "She always knew that designing a sneaker would be a must when she partnered with the Swoosh," Kardashian said. She selected the Nike Air Max Rift for her debut sneaker with the brand. "Choosing the Rift as her debut sneaker with the brand was largely due to its silhouette-huggin footwear, complementing the ethos of SKIMS," she explained.

Context and Expansion

This Shanghai activation follows recent NikeSKIMS pop-ups in Paris at 10 Rue de Turenne and in New York at The Corner inside Nordstrom's flagship. The brand, a joint venture between Nike and SKIMS, debuted its first collection of 58 styles at a performance presentation at the New York Public Library. The Shanghai pop-up occupies a storefront previously home to an IWC Schaffhausen boutique. Its public opening on Sept. 29 strategically preceded the seven-day National Day holiday. Slated to run for five months through February 2027, it is the brand's largest and longest-running pop-up to date. Beyond this location, select items from the fall lineup will also be available at Lane Crawford's Shanghai store. Shoppers interested in the planned community events can learn more by adding a community manager's WeChat onsite. The pop-up will run through February 2027 as NikeSKIMS’ largest and longest-running activation to date, with community events accessible via onsite WeChat registration.
