Lemaire Exits Uniqlo U After 10 Years
Christophe Lemaire and Sarah-Linh Tran have left Uniqlo U after a decade, with their FW26 collection as their final work.

Christophe Lemaire and Sarah-Linh Tran have stepped down as the head designers of Uniqlo U. Their FW26 collection serves as their final release for the Japanese retailer's design-forward sub-label after a defining 10-year run.
Since 2015, the duo bridged functional basics with high-end minimalism. They transformed Uniqlo U into a commercial powerhouse. According to Binance, the sub-label generated an estimated $1 billion in 2025 alone. Uniqlo has confirmed their departure but states the label will continue.
SKIMS Taps Supreme Veteran for Design Role
Kim Kardashian's SKIMS has appointed Erin Magee as its first-ever Chief Design Officer. Magee recently departed from Supreme, where she spent 22 years shaping its cultural dominance. She also founded the women's streetwear brand Mademe. Kardashian praised Magee's ability to connect with audiences and push creative boundaries. The brand also promoted Kim Schraub to the new role of Chief Brand Officer.
UGG & Willy Chavarria Debut Capsule
UGG and designer Willy Chavarria have unveiled their debut collaborative capsule. It blends Chavarria's sharp cultural aesthetic with UGG's signature boots. The unisex collection features five distinct footwear styles.
The launch is supported by the "UGG & KISSES" campaign, starring Eva Longoria, Danny Trejo, Becky G, and Ivan Cornejo. Inspired by the '90s sitcom Married… with Children, the campaign reimagines television tropes through Chavarria's Mexican-American lens. The collection drops globally on September 10, 2026.
Other Industry Moves
Authentic Brands Group has acquired a 51% majority stake in Drake's OVO brand. Drake retains a 44% share, while Vince Holding Corp. holds 5% and becomes the core global apparel licensee. The OVO team continues creative operations, but Vince takes over production and logistics. Plans include opening three new U.S. retail locations next year.
Under Armour has officially appointed rapper Gunna as Global Brand Ambassador and Creative Director of its new P-Star platform. The debut 14-piece collection includes heavyweight tees, shorts, and American football-inspired HeatGear. It also introduces the UA Scorpio sneaker with UA HOVR cushioning. A hyper-limited "Gunna" colorway drops on August 27, 2026.
